Post Graduate Intern Supervision

My goal for all interns who are coming into my office is to be able to create a relaxing and safe environment that encourages critical thought and professional growth. You can be ensured that we will work specifically on cases that you bring to the session and hit all significant clinical issues of your client.

Working one-on-one creates a caring professional relationship where you can feel confident that you are learning and growing as a therapist while I can provide a safe environment for you to explore and find the best methods for your personal practice with the backdrop of my years of professional experience to rely on. I can provide a place where you can feel free to ask questions and to come to a better understanding of how to best help your clients and you can gain insight through discussing your experiences with a knowledgeable professional.

Anticipating the Board examinations incites stress in even the best of us. There are many barriers such as high anxiety and poor test taking techniques that are almost always present. With this in mind, preparing for the BBS exams should include not only comprehensive review of your knowledge but also techniques to use when facing the examination. If you are feeling anxious about particular knowledge areas where you feel unsure of yourself, we will devote extra time to these areas and I will guide you to recommended readings and support materials.

Whether you are an IMFT or an ACSW seeking supervision hours for your you can rest assured that you will be well prepared for your exams and you’ll have a variety of clinical knowledge gained under my supervision to draw upon in your own future therapy practice.
